Data How BierReal handles safety, retention and moderation.
This page explains the operational side of BierReal: what gets stored, when clips are archived or deleted, and how reporting and blocking support a safer community.
Operational data used by the app
BierReal stores the data needed to operate account access, friend relationships, the daily bieralarm schedule, video uploads, likes, comments, moderation reports and push notifications.
That operational footprint includes user profile data, public profile projections, friendship state, posting timestamps, archive markers, notification tokens and moderation-related records.
Retention windows and content lifecycle
Live clips remain part of the current cycle until the next bieralarm. After that, they move out of the active feed, remain archived for up to one week and are then deleted as part of the normal cleanup flow.
This retention model is designed to keep the product social and temporary rather than turning it into a permanent video archive.
Moderation, reporting and safety controls
Users can report videos and comments, and they can block other users. Those controls are part of the product's safety layer and are backed by moderation workflows and access rules.
BierReal may process moderation data, report reasons, related content metadata and account state to enforce zero-tolerance rules against objectionable content and unsafe behavior.
Access control and visibility
Video access is restricted to the uploader and accepted friends, and the app also enforces a post-to-unlock model so users cannot watch friends' clips for the current cycle until they post their own.
These access controls work together with Firestore and Storage rules to reduce unintended exposure of private social content.
Compliance and review use
BierReal may retain or review limited information where necessary to respond to platform requirements, abuse issues, account deletion requests, legal claims or safety investigations.
As the public legal and compliance pages mature, this page should remain aligned with the Privacy Policy, Terms and any store declarations.
